The rules of play

01Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply whenever you use TrinSports, whether you're checking a score or following a team. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. If you're under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.

02What TrinSports is

TrinSports is a free, non-commercial website for Trinity School NYC sports. It shows this week's games, recent final scores, and each team's schedule, roster, stats and coach, and it can email you updates about the teams you follow.

TrinSports is an independent project. It is not an official publication of Trinity School, and nothing on it speaks for the school, its athletic department or any league.

03Your account

TrinSports is for the Trinity community, so viewing schedules, scores and rosters requires signing in with Google. Only this page, the Privacy page and the sign-in page are open without an account. By signing in you confirm the Google account is yours.

• We may limit which accounts can sign in, for example to school email addresses only.
• Keep your Google account secure. Anything done while you're signed in is treated as done by you.
• You can sign out at any time, and delete your account from the Privacy page.

04Following teams and emails

Following a team means you've asked for email updates about it: a reminder on game days and the final score after a game. JV and Varsity are separate teams, so you only hear about the ones you pick.

Every email has a one-click unfollow link, and you can unfollow on the site at any time. We may change how often or in what format updates are sent, and we never use your email for anything else.

05Scores and schedules

Schedules, scores, rosters and stats are entered by people and published as they come in. We work to keep them right, but they can be late, incomplete or wrong, and games get moved, postponed or cancelled.

• Confirm times and locations with the team or school before you travel to a game.
• Records are calculated from final scores posted on the site, and may differ from official league standings.
• Don't use TrinSports for betting or any decision where a wrong score would cause harm.

06Fair play

Please use TrinSports the way it's meant to be used. Don't:

• try to break, overload or get around the site's security, or access anyone else's account;
• scrape or copy the site in bulk, or use automated tools that put a strain on it;
• sign other people up to follow teams, or tamper with unfollow links;
• use anything on the site to harass, embarrass or contact players, coaches or families. Many athletes here are students and minors. Treat them with respect.

07Team and roster information

Rosters, numbers and stats are shared so families and fans can follow the season. Team names and logos belong to their owners, and you may share links to TrinSports pages freely.

If something about you or your child is wrong, or you'd like it removed, ask the team's coach or the athletics office. The site is updated from the information they keep.

08Privacy

What we collect (your name, email and the teams you follow), why, and how to delete it is explained in our Privacy page. It's part of these terms.

09Availability and changes

TrinSports is free and run on a best-effort basis. We may change, pause or stop any part of it, including email updates, at any time and without notice. We'll try to keep downtime short, but we can't promise the site or emails will always be available.

10No warranties

The site and its emails are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises of any kind, express or implied, including that the information is accurate, complete or up to date, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TrinSports and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or its emails, such as a missed game, a wasted trip or a decision based on a wrong score. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to zero dollars, where the law permits.

12Ending your use

You can stop using TrinSports whenever you like: unfollow your teams, sign out, or delete your account from the Privacy page. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts the site or its users at risk.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using TrinSports after an update, you accept the new terms.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
